Most of us wouldn’t say no to hanging out or being a part of our favorite movie scene with our favorite celebrity. But let’s be honest, that probably won’tever happen. This Indonesian artist, however, found a way to make it work.
Syahril Ramadan uses Photoshop to insert himself into celebrity images and film scenes, and he does a pretty good job, because you find yourself wondering at certain moments if he’s not really hanging out with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or a member of the Jumanji movie.
With the assistance of Photoshop, Syahril plays out his dreams. Many of us would actually like to have these kinds of abilities just for fun or even to trick our family and friends into believing that we are surrounded by celebrities in a wild life. Do not forget that learning is never too late!
He puts himself in regular celebrity images, including a Selena Gomez workout or hanging out with Dwayne Johnson and his family. He also does more epic edits where Spiderman is running, is part of the war of The Avengers with Thanos, or travels with John Wick and his dog across the desert.
On Instagram and a YouTube channel, Syahril has over 400k followers where he demonstrates the step- by – step method of how he produces these images, as well as other styles of videos such as reviews and speed paintings. It seems like people on the internet really appreciate what he does.
“I’m Syahril. I live and I was raised in Batam, Indonesia. I’m a graphic designer. I began studying from 2012 until now. I was offered a job immediately after graduation. I quit after 10 months because I felt like my days were only for doing their project, to the point of not having time for my work and free time. I left and I began to be productive again. I bought a camera after some time.”
He said he began as a test for the first time, looking for celebrity images and testing if it would work. He would work on the idea and edit the image.
It takes between 20 minutes and 2 hours for Syahril to make a frame. He shared how he chose the photos of which celebrities to edit himself into: “I choose the ones I think are very influential or the ones at the time that are viral and most popular.” He also stated that he was reached by a few celebrities and were pleased with his edits and appreciated his work.
Syahril said he doesn’t have a particular celebrity who wants to answer to his photo shots, but that he wants to get as many responses as he can. He said that because they make him and other people happy, he loves to produce these images.
Syahril also pointed out that many people believe his edits are genuine, genuine images, which sometimes make him laugh. There are some mean people out there, however, who ridicule his job. It hurt him at first, but Syahril is now used to it.
